Summer 2018

Storyboard Summer 2018 partners with Las Fotos Project to host a four week filmmaking and storytelling intensive for young women ages 14-18. Students will create a small photo essay with five images and a five-hundred word written component for the first half of the program. For the second half, they will learn basics of documentary filmmaking and create a 3-5 minute short documentary about a social justice issue affecting themselves, their families, or their communities.

By the end of the program, students have gained proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Premiere, as well as a firm understanding of DSLRs, lighting, composition, graphic design, audio recording techniques and equipment, how to conduct an interview, how to direct a subject, and how to work effectively in a team.
