Summary

Storyboard was founded in 2017 by Rebecca Castillo and Ariana Hoshino. We are committed to making digital media education accessible to communities across the country. This summer, all of our photography and filmmaking workshops will be moved online due to COVID-19. 

 

Storyboard seeks an engaging and creative intern to manage our social media presence and assist with web development. This an unpaid remote internship. Ideal candidates have experience with graphic design, Mailchimp, Wix, and are passionate about storytelling. The internship will take place from June 1st to August 15th for 10 hours a week, although exact dates are flexible. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain and post to Storyboard LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts;

• Create eye-catching graphics to post on social media accounts;

• From June 1st to August 15th, compose two engaging social media posts per week that achieve the goals agreed upon by supervisor;

• Develop long term social media initiatives and/or strategies that achieve the goals agreed upon by supervisor;

• Manage website design on Wix and newsletter on Mailchimp;

• Develop relationships with organizations or individuals with similar mission statements and/or work through social media; and

• Improve overall public engagement with various social media accounts.

 

Requirements

• BA/BFA in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related field required. 

• Minimum of two years experience managing social media accounts

• A creative eye for building a consistent, appealing brand look and feel across all media

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset that can thrive in a remote-working environment

• Desire to be immersed in storytelling for social change
